Current Conditions • 2007 Inspection concludes the following: • “It is in poor condition” • “It does not provide sufficient berthing space for existing users.” • “Based on the current poor condition and the need to significantly expand and upgrade the pier facilities, complete replacement is recommended.” • Cost to repair structure is $1.0M to give an additional life of ten years.

  3. Impacts to Wharf Area • No vehicular access • Relocation of fuel from T-Wharf to Town Wharf • Limited pedestrian access • Ongoing temporary repairs to make floats accessible

  4. New Structure • Timber piles with concrete decking • New utilities: Electric, water, stormwater. • Vehicle access • Space for existing and future uses, i.e. aquaculture. • Supports commercial and recreational fishing and tour businesses.

  5. Funding • Federal Economic Development Grant • Massachusetts Bond Bill • Seaport Council • Local Match
