  3. 1.Organization Structure & Hierarchy • Reorganization of structure can cause fear. • Leaders need to: • Avoid causing fear • Keep thought of politics out • Focus on organizational effectiveness • Be quick, brief and direct Leader did not go about establishing hierarchy correctly

  5. 3. Leader’s Sense of Job • Roll of leader is to bring out answers in others • The boss DOES NOT have all the answers Separate your ego from your job

Time Management • DO NOT: Scramble against constraints • DO: Choose reasonable tasks to complete within constraints • Look at project as whole • Fear of time creates anxiety Quality Not Quantity “It was as if the cooks at Alan’s firm had made an exquisite, five-course dinner but had forgotten the wine, the tablecloth, and the flowers and had served the food cold.”

  8. What I learned…. • To be a good leader, you must: • Allow everyone to contribute • Be a part of the team • Stress importance of long run • Ask questions • EFFECTIVELY COMMUNICATE! Questions?
