What is Norges Råfisklag? • Sales-organisation which administer and control the first-hand sale of white-fish (cod, haddock, coalfish), prawns and whale from the fishermen to the fish industry. • Organize raw-fish market in our region • Owned by the fishermen through their unions • “The Rawfish-act” gives us an exclusive right in our geographical area

Why have we got a Rawfish-act? • Organize raw-fish market in region • Equal terms of competition for fishermen and buyers • Handle local/regional buyers monopoly • Handle big seasonal fisheries with a lot of fresh fish • Secure stability • Secure resource control • All fish landed is registered
