  • Left England in 1497

  • First landed on Newfoundland

  • Couldn’t find the Passage

  • Claimed most of the East Coast before returning to England

  • Ship sunk in a Spanish port

  • Survived

  • Returned to Spanish America to steal Spanish treasure

  • Located off the coast of present-day North Carolina

  • Sir Walter Raleigh started the colony

  • When White returned, all the colonists had disappeared.
