  6. Getting Started: Step 1 My Name My Grade Science Notebook • The name of the course: • 8th Grade Life Science • The class period that you have science: • 8-1 Red; for example • The school year:2012 – 2013 • Your teacher:Mrs. Petit • Your name:(self explanatory)

  7. Section Dividers • The first section of your binder will be tabbed for “Notes”. Only keep notes for science class in this section. • The second section of your binder will be tabbed for “Homework”. • The third section of your binder will be tabbed for “Vocabulary”. • The fourth section of your binder will be tabbed for “Labs”. • The fifth section of your binder will be tabbed for “Quizzes/Tests”.

  8. STEP 2 This binder is all for your use. Your first page will be an Author’s Page. The next two pages will be for your table of contents. I have copies of these that we will put in our Binders. TABLE OF CONTENTS TABLE OF CONTENTS AUTHORS PAGE “ALL ABOUT YOU PAGE”

  9. STEP 3 • After the Table of Contents will go your Lab Safety Rules and Graphing Rules. Number these pages 1 and 2. After that continue to number your pages through 50. 1 2 3 4 Lab Safety Contract Put entry in Table of Contents How to Graph Put entry in Table of Contents

  10. NOTEBOOK RULES.. • No RIPPED OUT pages or torn corners. • No DOODLING that doesn’t relate to science. • Binders should only be used for SCIENCE CLASS. • NUMBER each page. • All entries must go into the Table of Contents.
