  12. ControlCenter 6.1 Agent Load Balancing and Redundnacy

  13. Load Balancing Configuration Parameters • AgentManager.properties file on the ControlCenter Server Host • ecc\ecc_inf\data\ecc_inf_hostname\class\AgentManager.properties • Full Load balancing • LoadBalancer.CountBasedLB.EnableFullLB=true • LoadBalancer.CountBasedLB.FullLBActivationPeriod=3600000 (1-hour) • LoadBalancer.CountBasedLB.EnableFullLBPerAgentType(Default is all Agents) • Partial Load Balancing • LoadBalancer.CountBasedLB.EnablePartialLB=true • LoadBalancer.CountBasedLB.AgentOverloadedThreshold • Default: EGS:2|EGZ:100|EGN:100|CNN:10 • When load balancing starts • LoadBalancer.CountBasedLB.LBActivationThreshold • Default: EGS:2|EGZ:1|EGN:1|CNN:5 • Example to exclude specific agent from full load balancing • LoadBalancer.CountBasedLB.EnableFullLBPerAgentType=EGS:false|EGZ:false

  15. Handling ControlCenter 6.1 Cluster

  16. Building the Cluster Resources • All Microsoft Cluster configurations are supported • Two Node cluster is the typical solution selected for ControlCenter • Only a 2-Node cluster has been tested – Basic Cluster

  17. Preparing the Cluster for ControlCenter • Establish a ControlCenter Resource Group • Move the ECC and ECCbackup share Disks into this group

  18. Preparing the Cluster for ControlCenter • Establish a ControlCenter Resource Group • Move the ECC and ECCbackup share Disks into this group • Add the Virtual IP-address and Network Name which will be used by ControlCenter

  19. Install ControlCenter • The node selected to install ControlCenter on becomes Node A • Primary Node • The Node for all maintenance • Pause Node B to prevent any fail-over from happening • Install ControlCenter as it would be installed normally • Use the Application Virtual Network name to install ControlCenter

  20. Install ControlCenter • The node selected to install ControlCenter on becomes Node A • Primary Node • The Node for all maintenance • Pause Node B to prevent any fail-over from happening • Install ControlCenter as it would be installed normally • Use the Application Virtual Network name as the Primary Network • Select “None” for the secondary Network
