Type of Poem: Narrative Poem • Type of poem that tells a story • Poetic Element: Rhythm • The rise and fall of the voice produced by sounds • The “flow” or “beat” of the poem • Poetic Element: Meter • Sounds in a poem that fall in a particular pattern. • In this poem, the meter is made to sound like a galloping horse. Da-da-Dum da-da-Dum

  3. DEFINITION: The pattern of rhyme between lines of a poem. • It is usually referred to by using letters to indicate which lines rhyme. The rhyme usually refers to the last words of a line. • Example (A,B,A,B) • Bid me to weep, and I will weep A • While I have eyes to see; B • And having none, and yet I will keep A • A heart to weep for thee. B Rhyme Scheme
