  21. Cat Jr. Customization • Slogan was taken from CAT but can be modified. • Item types defaults to four - IF found in that building’s holdings - Biography, Easy, Fiction, Nonfiction. List can be further customized. Library User Group Meeting

  31. Authority Control Project • Authority Control standardizes search terms for author, organization or conference, uniform title, series, and subject headings. • INFOhio GAB approved MARCIVE contract • Major project for FY11 Library User Group Meeting

  32. Authority Control Project • New authority records will replace old outdated authorities in every instance statewide. • Will implement procedures for on-going authority control so all instances receive new/updated authority records periodically throughout the year. Library User Group Meeting

  33. Authority Control Project • CRC bib records will be authorized and enhanced with updated Reading Program Notes (Accelerated Reader, Lexile, Reading Counts). • Additional authority control processes in JWF will eventually be implemented for local catalogs. Library User Group Meeting

  45. Circulation Sets • Allows libraries to group individual items together to circulate as one set of items. • Uses can include grouping a set of the same title for classroom use, creating kits, and creating a temporary themed set for a classroom. Library User Group Meeting

  47. ReOrder Holds Queue • Allows you to re-order the hold queue for a title and move a hold or group of holds up or down in the queue. • Only available holds can be reordered by this wizard. Library User Group Meeting

  50. Known Bugs in 3.3.1 Call Number / Item Maintenance wizard • In Symphony 3.2.1, users could select everything in the price field, including the $, and make changes… • In Symphony 3.3.1, selecting the $ will not allow the data to be changed. Library User Group Meeting
