DAI WG REPORT • SUMMARY TECHNICAL STATUS • DAI WG • Goal: Complete updates for OAIS Reference Model (French), Issue 2 – In progress • Goal:Develop a CCSDS/ISO standard for a Submission Information Package (SIP) for transfer and validation of information submitted to an archive – Done for CCSDS BB, ISO in progress, GB in progress • Working Group Status: Active • Working Group Summary Situation:

SUMMARY TECHNICAL STATUS: • Active participation • 2 telecons per Month • Face to face meeting in Noordwijk • Good progress on PAIS • YB and prototype testing finished • BB published as a CCSDS standard, in progress for ISO • GB in progress, expect by end of this year • WG Charter and Projects • Charter updated to include Curation Process • EU LTDP Project underway and will coordinate with CCSDS project 2014-04-03

DAI WG REPORT • ISSUES Issue 1 Need additional agency support for WG • Funding streams for participating agencies have been sporadic • Very limited NASA funding for participation (but observing group efforts and former participants are still volunteering their efforts) • CNES actively participates • European Union (Earth Science) Long Term Data Preservation (LTDP) support for PAIS GB • Need support from remaining agencies • We expect further support from LTDP for the new project 2014-04-03

Projects • Current- Producer-Archive Interface Specification (PAIS) BB v1 (BB 2014-02) (ISO 2014-10) • Current – PAIS Tutorial v1 (1st Draft 2013-11 GB 2015-02) • Current- Curation Process (1st Draft 2014-06 MB 2017-03) • Future - XML Schema version of DEDSL (current versions - Abstract, PVL, XML/DTD) (1st Draft 2015-03 BB 2017-06) • Future - XML version of Control Authority (current versions - Abstract, PVL) (1st Draft 2016-09 BB 2017-09) • Future? – Registry / Repository Standard (TBD) 2014-04-03
