  4. The Major types of Heart Disease! Heart Attacks occur when a blood clot suddenly and completely blocks the flow of blood to the heart. Strokes occur if a part of the brain does not receive a adequate supply of blood. Atherosclerosis occurs when fat deposits on the inside of the blood vessels and blocks blood flow. High blood pressure is the narrowing of the blood vessels that can cause damage and can lead to heart attach or stroke

Some healthy food facts to keep your heart healthy are: to try to eat low fat or fat-free snacks lower the amount of salt in your diet Low cholesterol Also chose foods that are rich in fiber and starch to make up 50% of your calorie requirements. Breads, cereals, pasta, grains fruits and vegetables come under this category. Select broiled, baked, steamed or poached poultry, fish or meats rather than fried foods.

  6. Why is it important for everyone to try to be heart healthy? It is important for everyone to try to be heart healthy because one, Heart Disease is the 1# cause of death in the U.S.A. Two, if you don’t or can’t exercise, that could cause you to have diabetes which can lead to heart disease. It use to just be being male that can cause a high blood which could also cause heat disease. Unmanaged stress can cause high blood pressure which is a risk factor of Heart Disease.

  7. Stress! When having stress: Try not to get caught up in eating bad foods. Watch how much you eat. Also try not to bottle up things because they might come out at the wrong person. Try thinking of ways to relax and get the thing in your head out, otherwise you might end up looking like this.

Drugs, Alcohol and Smoking • You can never have drugs, because they are illegal, and very bad for your heart and can give you heart diseases. • Smoking is also very bad for your body, especially for your heart, and lungs, smoking can cause tar to stick to your lungs from tobacco, and makes it hard to get enough oxygen to the heart. • Alcohol can be very bad for you if you drink too much, but you can have alcohol as long as you drink responsibly. The appropriate amount of alcohol to have is one beer or one glass of wine a day. You can only have alcohol if you are age 21 and older.
