A Child Protection Policy comprises: • a statement of policy, which expresses the organisation’s commitment to providing a safe environment for any children and young people with whom it interacts; • an undertaking to apply that policy throughout the organisation; • detailed procedures and steps to ensure that the Child Protection Policy is implemented across all areas of the organisation. The Child Protection Policy Statement should be available to all staff1 , boards of management, primary carers2 , children and young people involved in the organisation. The policy should be reviewed annually, with the next review date being clearly indicated. WHAT WE'LL DISCUSS
