PROGRAM OBJECTIVE To improve mission effectiveness by promoting an environment free from personal, social, or institutional barriers that prevent Air Force members from rising to the highest level of responsibility possible based on their individual merit, fitness, and capability. People are our business

  4. DEFINITIONS • Sexual Harassment • - Quid Pro Quo • - Hostile Environment • Unlawful Discrimination • Reprisal • EOT Incident • Substantiated Finding People are our business

  5. COMMAND RESPONSIBLITIES • Create environment free from unlawful discrimination and sexual harassment • Regularly brief and issue zero tolerance policy memos • Enforce MEO policy in fair, impartial, prompt manner People are our business

  6. COMMAND RESPONSIBILITIES • Consider religious accommodation requests • Ensure raters/reviewers evaluate MEO compliance and document repeated or serious violations • Inform members of right to file MEO complaints without fear of reprisal People are our business

  7. COMMAND RESPONSIBILITIES • Investigate unlawful discrimination and harassment allegations • Take prompt action when unlawful discrimination and harassment is substantiated • Brief alleged offenders and protect complainant’s identity when possible People are our business

  8. COMMAND RESPONSIBILITIES • Provide MEO Office with demographics of violators/participants and administrative or disciplinary action taken on all allegations of EOT violations investigated and confirmed by the unit commander People are our business
