Lessons Learned • Early and Frequent Soldier/Operator Involvement: • Conduct periodic User Evaluations/Jury –“solicit feedback” • Soldier/Operator involvement during developmental/qualification tests • Clearly Defined/Testable Requirements - “reduces program risk” • Streamlined Acquisition Process: • Conduct detailed Source Selection – “Bid Sample Test” • Synchronize Test Matrix/Schedule - “reduces cost/schedule” • Request Vendor to donate test articles –“reduces cost/schedule” • Request Vendor to produce test articles on risk - “reduces schedule/program risk” • Utilize multiple test centers/facilities – “reduces schedule/program risk” • Collaborate with other Service’s/Agencies - “reduces program risk” & “increases program’s overall return on investment” • Ensure your Contracting and Test Strategies are aligned with your Procurement Schedule
