What is a food chain?
  • A food chain can be shown by how each living organism gets their food and also how it is made.

All food chains will start with a green plant. (Producers)

  • The green plant is then eaten by the animal.(Consumers)
  • Then the food chains ends with a preditor.
  • But the sun is the most important.

  • Grass is eaten by a Grasshopper 
  • Grasshopper is eaten by Toads 
  • Toads are eaten by Snakes 
  • Snakes are eaten by Hawks 

  • A food web consist of several food chains.
  • The food chains are connected together.
  • A food web shows how many different plants and animals are connected.

  • This can be:- Primary producers( organism from a plant)

- Herbivore( Animals eating plants)

- Primary Carnivore( Animals eating animals)

There are difficulties in classifying animals which belong to the Trophical levels.

  • Omnivores are animals which feed at different places which is in the food web.
  • For example:- Grizzly bears eat basically anything. From berries, to fish, to dead animals.
  • People have difficulties in classifying where the bear belongs in the Trophical level.
