Ohio Training Registration • Training • Is NOT a requirement for ARES membership • Is required for ARES appointments (EC, DEC, SEC, etc) • Is encouraged • Is FREE and relatively easy • Section Training Database (n8sx@arrl.net) • Emphasis on ICS-100/200/700/800 • Electronic copies of certificates or FEMA transcript • www.arrl-ohio.org/SEC/training.html • Why? • Many trained ARES members – make it known • Info needed for Mutual Aid requests

Salvation Army News • Joint ARES/SATERN net (MOU in place) • EchoLink going into SA downtown • Expect SATERN check-ins via EchoLink • SATERN announcements • Encourage ARES members to join SATERN • Volunteer – no commitment! • SATERN group can get SA facilities free • Qualification to drive Canteen • Possible Tech class at SA – draw from all NE Ohio • ICS 100/200/700/800 classes at SA • Lots of training available for SATERN members • Big indoor facility at Rolling Acres – indoor drill? • Mike Simpkins, KB8WWP at February meeting
