ART 2. Art 1 is the second art class offered. To enroll in this class, you must have completed Art 1. . The main emphasis will be on color, painting, and drawing, building upon the lessons you learned in Art 1. A willingness to work will guarantee to increase drawing skills.

  1. ART 2 Art 1 is the second art class offered. To enroll in this class, you must have completed Art 1.

  2. The main emphasis will be on color, painting, and drawing, building upon the lessons you learned in Art 1. A willingness to work will guarantee to increase drawing skills. Through drawing we will…

  3. You will be exposed to many different color media, such as Prismacolor,

  4. Pastels

  5. Acrylics

  6. Watercolor pencil

  7. Through a variety of projects and media, ART 1 will cover basic concepts in;

  8. 1) Composition and Balance

  9. 2) Value and Shade

  10. 3) Line and Texture

  11. 4) Color Mixing, Theory, and technique

  12. 5) Perspective and Shape.

  13. SUPPLIES

  14. Drawing Pencils 6-12 #4B

  15. Several Erasers

  16. 18 inch ruler

  17. 2 markers Fine or Felt tipped

  18. Colored pencils, crayons, Markers and gel pens

  19. Scissors and glue sticks

  20. A box to keep your stuff in

  21. Ziploc Bags, multiple sizes (the box with all the bags in it)

  22. Please pay your $13.00 Art Fee

  23. Grading 5 points per day we work on a project Complete ALL requirements Use high effort on projects

  24. You will be graded daily on class participation 1, 3, or 5 points for the day. 83 days 3points per day = 249 2points per day = 166 1 point per day = 83

  25. Classroom Rules

  26. Get your supplies out. When you first come into class

  27. Stay seated while working Do not wander the room.

  28. Raise hand for questions. Do not yell across the room!!!

  29. LOW talking volume

  30. Clean your mess at the bell.

  31. Stay seated until the TEACHER, not the bell, excuses you. Do not line up at the door.

  32. ART CLASS IS A PRIVELAGE This requires responsible, mature conduct on your part. Horseplay, disrupting others, misbehaving, or inappropriate language are never allowed and will affect your citizenship grade. You are responsible for yourself!!!
