The results have been compared with the pre-existing gridded climatologies (Medatlas). The Seadatanet gridded climatology has been computed using the code DIVA 4.1.2. Medatlas has been generated basically with the same code with different values of the correlation lenght, the signal/noise ratio and the background fields.
