  2. This statistical document has been prepared by Unit C.2 of DG AGRI, in order to present the first results of the data analysis 2000-2007. It is a mere working document based on provisional figures which are still subjected to changes. Therefore, the European Commission does not accept any responsibility in respect of the exactness of given data.

  5. 1.1 State of play of questionnaires • Questionnaire n°1: no answer from SE • Questionnaire n°2: no answer from BE, DK, EL, IT, MT, SE • Questionnaire n°3:no answer from 12 Member States (BU, CZ, DE, EL, ES, FR, IE, IT, MT, PL, SK and UK)

  17. 4.1 Better organization of the sector • Larger number of POs and bigger VMP • 1506 POs in 2007 with a total VMP of 15.458 mio € • Average VMP of 10.44 mio € at EU-15 and 3.84 mio € at EU-10 level in 2007 • Organization rate varies greatly between Member States • High increase for new MSs (EU-10) : from 6% in 2004 to 10% in 2007 • Increase from 2004 in old MSs (EU-15) : from 32 % in 2004 to 39 % in 2007 • Apparent status quo at EU level over the period 2000-2006 and decrease in 2007 because of very low rate in RO

  18. 4.2 Use of EU support • Limit of 4.1% not reached in general • Reached only by NL, SK and SE • Increasing concern for environmental measures • Share of environmental measures in total operational programme moving in new MS from 1.3% in 2004 to 12.8% in 2007 and from 18.6 to 21.5 % in old MS over the same period 18
