  2. Scheduling and OA of RE • Open Access through LTA/ MTOA/ STOA (bilateral only) route envisaged • Applicable to RE without LT (PPAs not signed as on 01-4-10) • Forecasting of Wind and Solar • Host state to be immune from the UI of RE • RRF (Renewable Regulatory Fund) mooted

  3. Aggregate capacity : Wind 10MW and Solar 5MW connected at 33kV and above • Day ahead forecast for 15 min time blocks • Scheduling of RE w.e.f 01-01-11 • Revisions after a 6 time block notice • Forecasting with minimum accuracy of 30% for wind and 20% for Solar • Revisions allowed upto 8 times in a day ( 1 each @ 3hour intervals)

  4. Case 2 in IEGC: UI upto 30% • not payable by RE • Purchaser to pay for 70MW to RE and 30MW to RRF at UI rate of his region • RRF to pay Host state for 30MW at his UI rate and Additional UI charges corresponding to UI of RE • Host to pay to UI Pool for 30MW including Additional charges • All entities in the country to share the RRF

  5. Power sold by RE : 100MW UI by RE : -30MW All states in the country On a monthly basis Purchaser Pay for 70MW RE Pay for 30MW @ his UI rate RRF Host State Pay for 30MW UI UI Pool Case 2:-ve UI by RE upto -30% Pay for 30MW UI and Additional charges if any

Case 3 in IEGC: UI upto 40% • 10% payable by RE • Purchaser to pay for 70MW to RE and 30MW to RRF at UI rate of his region • RRF to pay Host state for 30MW at his UI rate and Additional UI charges (corresponding to UI of RE) • Host to pay to UI Pool for 30MW including Additional charges • RE to pay UI pool for 10MW (including additional UI charges if any)

  7. Power sold by RE : 100MW UI by RE : -40MW All states in the country On a monthly basis Purchaser Pay for 70MW RE Pay for 30MW UI and Additional charges if any Pay for 30MW @ his UI rate RRF Pay for 10MW UI Host State Pay for 30MW UI UI Pool RE Case 3:-ve UI by RE upto -40%

  8. Case 4 in IEGC: UI upto +30% • not receivable by RE • Purchaser to pay for 130MW to RE • RRF to pay Purchaser for 30MW at UI rate of his region • UI Pool to pay Host state for 30MW at his UI rate • Host to pay to RRF for 30MW including Additional charges

  9. Case 4:+ve UI by RE upto30% Power sold by RE : 100MW UI by RE : +30MW All states in the country On a monthly basis Purchaser Pay for 130MW RE Pay for 30MW UI and Additional charges if any Pay for 30MW @ his UI rate RRF Host State Pay for 30MW UI UI Pool

  10. Case 5:+ve UI by RE between 30% and 50% Power sold by RE : 100MW UI by RE : +40MW All states in the country On a monthly basis Purchaser Pay for 130MW RE Pay for 30MW UI and Additional charges if any Pay for 30MW @ his UI rate RRF Pay for 10MW UI Host State Pay for 30MW UI UI Pool RE

Case 6 in IEGC: UI beyond 50% • UI in excess of 30% receivable by RE from UI Pool (excess beyond 50% at capped rate) • Purchaser to pay for 130MW to RE • RRF to pay Purchaser for 30MW at UI rate of his region • Host state to pay RRF for 30MW including Additional charges • Host to pay UI Pool for excess of 30%

Case 6 in IEGC: UI beyond 50% Power sold by RE : 100MW UI by RE : +60MW All states in the country On a monthly basis Purchaser Pay for 130MW RE Pay for 30MW UI and Additional charges if any Pay for 30MW @ his UI rate RRF Host State Pay for 30MW UI UI Pool RE Pay for 30MW UI (10MW @capped rate)

  13. RRF • NLDC to manage RRF • Settlement to/ by RRF on weekly basis • Surplus or deficit in RRF to be Shared by all states • on monthly basis • In the ratio of peak demand of previous month as published by CEA
