  1. Authentication, Authorization and Accounting for Data and Services in EU Public Administrations: Developing an AAA-Architecture for INSPIRE 17-18 March 2014, KU Leuven (Belgium) Robin S. Smith & Michael Lutz ARE3NA– Re-usable components for INSPIRE: AAA as a key layer of the INSPIRE architecture

  2. Action 1.17 A Reusable INSPIRE Reference Platform Interoperability … sharing reusable components for INSPIRE implementation and interoperability in cross-border/cross-sector contexts. Openness Reuse Collaboration

  3. Main Activities • Establish a collaborative platform & help share best practices • Identify other policies & platforms dealing with spatial data exchange • Identify ‘missing items’ in INSPIRE and between INSPIRE & other sectors • Develop open source solutions and guidelines • INSPIRE implementation software inventory, including Open Source tools

  4. Gathering and sharing evidence • Survey: tinyurl.com/are3na1 Filtered forms identifying: • implementation software • missing items • best practices Add to inventory Selected with ISA’s Spatial Information and Services Working Group Help identify Develop & procure • ARE3NA Case Studies • Short descriptions of tools aiding INSPIRE implementation • Propose cases: are3na@jrc.ec.europa.eu

  5. EFIR, INSPIRE Asset Constellation & Reuse Service Assets Software Assets Re3gistry + Semantic Assets INSPIRE GML Application Schemas INSPIRE Data RDF Vocabularies INSPIRE Data Specifications INSPIRE Metadata RDF Vocabulary INSPIRE ISO/XML Metadata Schema INSPIRE Directive + Regulations + IRs INSPIRE Code Lists Organisational Assets Legal Assets

  6. … building bridges inINSPIRE and between INSPIRE & other sectors • INSPIRE already aims to support access to cross-border and cross-sector geospatial datasets and services • INSPIRE is a good ‘test case’ for a number of ISA elements, across EIF/EFIR interoperability levels • ARE3NA team is already contributing to ISA: ADMS, ODP/DCAT, Core Vocabularies, EC URI Strategy, EFIR, IMM, EIRA, Interoperability Test Bed… Source: http://thevictorianist.blogspot.it/2012/01/like-painting-forth-bridge-or-greatest.html

  7. Current activities VGI RDF & PID Cross-sector apps AAA SOS • Validation • Picrit Metadata Re3gistry +

  8. AAA for INSPIRE Data and Services • Review of standards, technologies and best practices, including beyond geospatial • Development of an testbed and deployment in pilot organisations - user experience • Build on to existing approaches • Reusable… and implementable elsewhere • Possible reuse of ISA AAA technologies • What will help AAA adoption in different organisations- what are the challenges? • Would specific GI vocabularies/roles help? • What tools/approaches could help?
