Jamara Forbes has four years of event planning, and she planned the following events, but not limited to: Poetry Nights, Community Outreach initiatives, and prayer breakfasts. Her eye for design, fashion, and style have sparked her interest of coordinating and executing her visions. The mind behind the designs JamaraForbes is a young and tenacious 22 year-old aspiring certified wedding planner. She was born in Jersey City, NJ, and moved down south where she was raised in Largo, FL, from the age of five. Jamara enjoys spending quality time with her friends and family whenever she has the chance. In the spring 2013, Jamara graduated from the University of South Florida with a B.A. degree in Mass Communications- Programming and Production. Ever since she could remember, Jamara has enjoyed writing down and executing simple party plans to coordinating church fundraising events. Jamaragraduate from Palm Harbor University High School’s Medical Magnet Program and St. Petersburg College with high honors. Throughout high school she also participated in an array of after school & community clubs, where she received perfect attendance awards, volunteer awards, and high academic achievement awards. Traveling by bus, train, or plane, has flowed through Jamara’s veins since the ripe age of two. She’s traveled to various states within the United States, and she has also traveled to Paris, Germany, and Switzerland, just to name a few. Jamara is currently the Youth President at ACOJ New Season Ministries where she serves the youth, 18 -30 years of age. It’s Jamara privilege to encourage, excited, and to challenge the young people to get involved at church and in their communities.

Event announcement data sheet information • How to submit wedding and engagement announcements • to Tampa Bay Times? • 1. To obtain wedding forms by calling 1-800-333-7505, ext. 8215. • 2. Completed forms must be returned to St. Petersburg Times, c/o Weddings, P.O. Box 1121, St. Petersburg, FL 33731, no later than six months after the date of the wedding. • 3. At this time, forms are only accepted via P.O box. • *** Hours of operation aren’t necessary when turning in the forms, but when calling to speak with someone you should call between 8 am to 4 pm. **** • ***Photos to accompany the announcements are welcome but cannot be returned.***
Philanthropic opportunities Once a quarter, I will conduct a competition for aspiring professional wedding and event planners. There will be an entry fee for each individual, division, and team. Each team will consist of five to seven individuals. Jamara Forbes’ Events will provide all the material, items, and budget for each team to successful participate in the competition. The team that wins will be presented a Jamara Forbes’ Events award and a charity of their choice will receive a $1,000 donation on behalf of the team. In addition, I will also conduct an interview with the winning team, which will be featured on my business webpage, and I will also interview other individuals and teams who participated to get a glimpse of their experience. With my background in television, I will also use the footage from the competition to promote the following year’s competition.
