    • Large towers

  • Style of the High Middle Ages in Northern Europe.

  • Characteristics:

    • Flying buttresses

    • Vertical emphasis

    • Pointed arches (ogival)

    • Ribbed vaults

    • Large windows/Light

    • Stained glass windows
