  1. Proverbs 3:27 27Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, When it is in your power to do it. Doing good to all men

  2. OMISSION • James 4:17 Therefore, to him who knows to do good and does not do it, to him it is sin.

  3. Galatians 6:10 (New King James Version) • Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith.

  4. This verse begins with the word THEREFORE. That means it speaks to an important application of the previous verses(7-9) which says: • “Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life. And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.”

  5. Don’t deceive yourself. • God knows your heart. • You will reap what you sow. • So DO GOOD to all men! • God sees everything we do.

  6. MATTHEW 25 “Then the King will say to those on His right hand, ‘Come, you blessed of My Father, Inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.’ I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.”

  7. Luke 10:30-34 (New King James Version) • 30 Then Jesus answered and said: “A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among thieves, who stripped him of his clothing, wounded him, and departed, leaving him half dead. 31 Now by chance a certain priest came down that road. And when he saw him, he passed by on the other side. 32 Likewise a Levite, when he arrived at the place, came and looked, and passed by on the other side. 33 But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was. And when he saw him, he had compassion…

  8. Luke 10:34-37 (New King James Version) • 34 So he went to him and bandaged his wounds, pouring on oil and wine; and he set him on his own animal, brought him to an inn, and took care of him. 35 On the next day, when he departed, he took out two denarii, gave them to the innkeeper, and said to him, ‘Take care of him; and whatever more you spend, when I come again, I will repay you.’ 36 So which of these three do you think was neighbor to him who fell among the thieves?” 37 And he said, “He who showed mercy on him.” Then Jesus said to him, “Go and do likewise.”

  9. The religious people of the day (Priest and Levite)used excuses to keep from helping the man. • The Samaritan didn’t know if the man was good or bad, only that he was hurt. • How did the Samaritan know the man was worth helping (he didn’t, but he knew all men are worth helping.)

  10. Ephesians 2:8-10 (New King James Version) • 8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast. 10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them. • We are created for a PURPOSE! • What is accomplished by our good works? • Matthew 5:16 (New King James Version) • 16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.

  11. Why are you here? • Have you found yourself? • Do you know the meaning of life? • How can you be happy? • The answer to all of these is simply…… • Jesus, knowing His hour had come, took the time to wash the disciples feet and said “If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet.” • SERVE OTHERS • A wonderful example of Serving others: brother …………

  12. Christianity is not something we do, its something we are.

  13. DUMB • The things we do make us who we are! • Our future is determined by the choices we make today. • Our Character is defined by our choices and actions • Being a Christian is all about what we do! • Let us “do good” to all men
