  13. Requirements to Galactic -galaxies community • Do not overlook the efforts for software development • It is very expensive, it should be valorized • Promote better practices for S/W development • Share the codes, reuse them Prospective PNG

Requirements to Galactic -galaxies community • Do not overlook the efforts for software development • Produce science ready archives • Data producers (observatories) do not have expertise/man-power to bring the data to the optimal level (as good as artisanal reduction). • Key issue for enhancing the scientific return of an instrument. • Responsibility of the scientific consortia supporting the instruments. • Archives of large simulations. Prospective PNG

Requirements to PNG • Instrument data archives, literature and catalogue distribution is not the responsibility of PNG (see observatories, CDS…) • Production and distribution of science-ready archives and thematic databases (science driven) is the responsibility of PNG. • Production of modelling/analysis services, and integration in the VO is the responsibility of PNG.
