  3. 1. Concept a. Definition Darin E. Hartley [Hartley, 2001] Teaching and learning process by using internet media, intranet or other computer network in order to give the material to the students. Matt Comerchero E-learning is a means of education that incorporates self-motivation, communication, efficiency, and technology.

  4. Derek Stockley 2003 The delivery of a learning, training or education program by electronic means. E-learning involves the use of a computer or electronic device (e.g. a mobile phone) in some way to provide training, educational or learning material.

Othercomputer tools/applications including asynchronous collaboration applications. Game play or game simulation software is rapidly becoming the fourth type of readily accepted e-learning tool. METHOD • Asynchronous e-Learning: • Teachers and students in the same class (virtual class), but different time and place. • It needsLMS (Learning Management System) such as content based text, content based multimedia, online 24 hours nonstop Synchrounous e-Learning: Teachers and students in the same class and time, but different place. (teleconference) Example : I am the student of one of university in Jakarta follow the lecturer with the Prof in Bandung

  11. WEEKNESSES Learners need to have access to a computer as well as the Internet. Learners also need to have computer skills with programs such as word processing, Internet browsers, and e-mail. Teachers should manage computer files and online learning softwares E-learning also requires just as much time for attending class and completing assignments as any traditional classroom course. Students may feel isolated from the instructor
