  5. Verbal • Name calling • Profanity • Put downs • Threatening • Humiliating • Talking about someone’s mother or family • Gossip • Rumors

Research on Bullies • Dr Eron in upstate NY- study of 690 third graders…update 10 years later in HS and found almost all seniors who were bullies in HS were also reported in 3rd grade… • 10 years later discover 1 in 4 students who were identified in 3rd grade as bullies had a criminal record by the time they were 28.

  15. More research on bullies Study by Dan Olweus found that 60 % of children identified as bullies between grades 6-10 were cited for criminal behavior as adults…40% of those had 3 or more convictions
