  4. FDR’s position on Civil Rights • In June 1941, Roosevelt created the Fair Employment Practices Committee (FEPC). It was the most important federal move to help the African-Americans Civil rights. Which caused many African-Americans to get jobs that paid with better wages.

A political leader who spoke for people’s rights. • National Youth Administration – Provided work and education for Americans between the ages of 16 and 25. • Civilian Conservation Corps - Provided unskilled manual labor jobs related to the conservation and development of natural resources in rural lands owned by federal, state and local governments for unemployed, unmarried men from relief families.
