  1. M-Compass Update SA Unit Liaison Meeting March 23, 2011

  2. Council on Global Engagement recognized that many units were seeking a better way to manage Study Abroad programs. Assessments done by ITS in Spring 2009 found that a common software solution could provide efficiencies to units and better service to students.

  3. The College of Engineering was using a product called StudioAbroad. ITS conducted another assessment in Dec 2009 and recommended that U of M should purchase StudioAbroad. The Provost’s Office agreed to fund the purchase and implementation of StudioAbroad in Spring 2010.

  4. The system will go live in June 2011. Initial rollout will include outgoing, international program for current UM students. Students will begin using it for the Winter 2012 application cycle.
