  5. A Microcontroller is a complete computer on a single chip optimized to control electronic devices. A Microcontroller consists of RAM/ROM with flash memory on a single chip. It is a type of microprocessor emphasizing self-sufficiency and cost-effectiveness, in contrast to a general purpose microprocessor , the kind used in pc. MICROCONTROLLERS

  6. It is a 40 pin IC known as pic microcontroller and manufactured by MICROCHIP TECHNOLOGY INCORPORATED . It is new generation microcontroller with enhanced features from earlier versions of microcontrollers . PIC family has many microcontrollers and pic18f458 is one them. PIC 18F458
