Hospitality Human Resource Professionals Association 2013 Scholarship Application • The Hospitality Human Resource Professionals Association offers a $2,000.00 scholarship to a full-time hospitality • or human resources student in a minimum two-year diploma/degree program who is wishing to pursue a career in the hospitality industry. This scholarship serves as a vehicle for our association to invest in the future of our industry. • HHRPA is Toronto’s leading association of hospitality HR professional with members representing GTA hotels, entertainment groups and hospitality focused post-secondary institutions. We are a non-profit organization with roots dating back to our founding in 1975 and since that time, we have established ourselves as a pillar of success representing Toronto’s hospitality HR professionals with pride. • This scholarship is guided by a Board of Directors made up of senior executives from Toronto’s hospitality industry. The Board’s mission is to carefully review the scholarship applications submitted by students and select the most deserving young recipient. • School of Study: Centennial College, University of Guelph, Ryerson University, Humber College, or George Brown College • How to Apply: Complete this application form and submit to the HHRPA along with the following: • Personal statement outlining your hospitality career objectives and personal goals (maximum 1000 words) • Resume • Detailed description of education background • OfficialTranscripts of Records (web grades, photocopy, emailed, faxed transcripts are notaccepted) • Letter(s) of recommendation from a current faculty member that is signed and includes telephone number and email address • Letter(s) of recommendation from past or present employers that is signed and includes telephone number and email address • Payment of Scholarship Money: The scholarship money will be paid in its entirety directly to the recipient in October of the year the scholarship is awarded. The HHRPA will seek confirmation of full-time enrollment from the college/university before payment is made.
