  1. Selection Interview • Interview is the oral examination of candidates for employment • It is a selection procedure designed to predict future job performance on the basis of applicant’s oral responses to oral enquiries.

  2. Specific Policies to be followed by a company to avoid hinderances in the interview. • Company should make some rules regarding the interview • Prior appointment • Interview should be planned. • It should take place in a private room.

  3. CASE STUDY • Suresh, the production manager, had to consider Ranga Rao when Anil Dhawan, the HR Director reffered for him although he was busy at that time so prior appointment should be taken.

  4. In this case, the interviewer was busy with phone calls and office work at the time of interview so to avoid the problem interview should take place in a private room.
