  2. Hepatitis B. • Hepatitis B is an infection of the liver which is caused by a virus called hepatitis B virus. It might be acute and be resolved with a minor treatment and in some people it might become chronic and get treated only with surgery or removal of that part. The chronic type may also get severe in some cases and become liver cancer or cirrhosis. In most of the cases in adults the hepatitis B is not a serious problem and mostly it gets resolved on its own yet in some rare cases it gets very serious and turns into a chronic infection which further becomes liver cancer.
