    • Fitness is the ability to handle the physical work and play of everyday life without becoming overly tired.

    • It also means you have energy in the reserve to meet unexpected demands.

  • Cardiovascular Fitness- helps you have a healthy heart, blood vessels and lungs.

  • Muscular Strength- allows the muscles that move your bones to put forth a great deal of force.

  • Muscular Endurance- regular exercise improves muscular endurance. The longer you do an activity, the more endurance you build.

  • Agility- the ability to change positions quickly while controlling body motion

  • Balance- the ability to keep your body in steady position while standing, sitting or moving

  • Coordination- the ability of the body parts to work together at one time

  • Power- the ability to combine strength with speed

  • Reaction Time- the amount of time it takes you to move after or see a signal

  • Speed- the ability to move your body quickly from one place to another

  • Flexibility- allows you to move your body freely. Good flexibility means that muscle stretch well and joints move easily.

  • Body Fatness- the percent of your body weight that is fat.
