  1. MYTHS AND FACTS ABOUT KOSHER WINE Upper Crust Wood Fired Pizza

  2. WHAT IS KOSHER WINE? Kosher wine is produced from grapes according to the religious dietary law. Jews must supervise or handle winemaking process from the time of grapes crashed until the wine bottled. Before Kosher is marketed or sold, it would have an approval seal of a Kosher certified agency. The procedure of making Kosher wine is same as a non- Kosher wine.

  3. TYPES OF KOSHER WINE 1.    Kosher: produced and marketed with the approval of Jewish law (Kashrut) 2.    Keshor for Passover: wine that must have been kept free from contact with grain, bread, and dough. 3.     Kesher le Mehadrin: Wine for which the rules of Kashrut have been strictly approved.

  4. WHERE TO FIND You can find Kosher in every wine producing country with a variety of grapes and styles. It costs from $5 to $100 a bottle. Most of the Kosher wine is found in America, Israel, and France. Most liquor stores in Jewish area will have full of Kosher wines.

  5. HOW TO FIND The trends of Kosher wine are same as a non-Kosher wine market. Right now there is a Moscato boom, a revived interest in Rosé and sparkling wines, and plenty of dry red wines. In the Kosher world, there are many white label wines, where the brand is known, but the source is not.
