  2. Synonyms are words with similar meanings. Synonym= Same Example: • Jump = Leap • Fake = Pretend • Jail = Prison Synonyms

  6. Adverbs are words that describe verbs. They answer the questions how, when, why or to what extent. Examples of adverbs are: John runs quickly. “Quickly” describes how he runs. He quietly whispers to his partner. “Quietly” describes how he whispers. Adverb

  7. Meaning more than one. Usually ends in “s” or “es”. Example: Sally has two dogs. The word two show’s that the sentence is plural. PLURAL
