Efficiencies Gained • Application rated once within the region • Non-preference candidates that apply to multi locations will get 1 job offer within the region • Preference eligible candidates (vets) will be offered jobs during SME week • Reduced amount of time requesting referral lists • Reduction in De facto employment

  6. HR Processes • HR posts outreach notice in data base • HR request referral list • Formats referral lists in PDF format • Regional Announcement # (NOT OCR’s!!) • Applicants will be pre-qualified

  7. SME Processes • SME reps from every functional area (up to 8 per forest) • Evaluate applications • Complete and document reference checks • Focus group to screen veterans

  9. Recommendation / Approval Process • Coordinated at the forest level, virtually • Highly qualified applicants disseminated to district level for final vetting and recommendation • 1 P.O.C per district for referral lists access • Line Officer approves final selection
