  2. Pyramids of Egypt • The Egyptian Pyramids are ancient structures made mainly or enormous shaped stones and rocks. Most were made of sandstone, the Egyptians used sandstone because it was easy to shape and lighter than other building materials. • Most were made for tombs for Pharaohs during the Old and Middle Kingdoms.

  3. Pyramids of Egypt • The Egyptians are well know for there pyramids because they built some of the biggest structure in the World.

  6. The Great Pyramids of Giza • These pyramids are the best know Egyptian pyramids, and are located on the outskirts of Cairo. • The pyramid of Khufu which is part of the pyramids of Giza. Khufu is the largest pyramid in the world and it is the only one of the Seven wonders of the world that are still in existence.

  7. Khufu • The pyramid of Khufu was made for Khnum-Khufu. He reigned from around 2589 to 2566 B.C.E. Khufu was know as a cruel and ruthless leader. • He was the mind in the building the great pyramids of Giza and pyramid of Khufu.

  8. Pharos • Pharos were the leaders of all Egypt. They commander enormous armies and were thought to be chosen by the gods to be leaders. The pharos after death were drained of all body fluids and then wrapped in linen and preserved in a sarcophagus so at the end of time they could rise again.

  9. Hieroglyphics • Hieroglyphics were the Egyptians way of writing they drew pictures to tell stories. Writing was forbidden unless it was done by a Scribe. It was thought that writing contain magical power. • So the pharos forbade it to protect themselves from being harmed by this power.

  10. Thoughts about the Egyptians • The Egyptians used tons of man power and great minds to accomplish massive feats. The Egyptians were one of the greatest civilizations to leave there mark on the world the used nothing but there mind, muscle, and simple but effective methods of build. • Over all they deserve our respect.
