God’s Promises Are Sure • He cannot lie. • Hebrews 6:18 that by two immutable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we might have strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold of the hope set before us. • Psalm 119:137-144 • His word is truth. • John 17:17 Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth.

  3. Jesus Said God Will Respond. • He is not mocking us. • He is giving us assurance. • Do we believe it? • We must ask, seek and knock and God will bless us.

  4. If we ask, it will be given. • According to His will. • 1 John 5:14-15 • James 4:3 You ask and do not receive, because you ask amiss, that you may spend it on your pleasures. • In faith. • James 1:6-8 • For wisdom. • James 1:2-5

  5. If we ask, it will be given. • For help. • Hebrews 4:15-16; cf. 1 Peter 5:7 • We will receive peace. • Philippians 4:6-8

  6. If We Seek, We Will Find. • Things above. • Colossians 3:1 If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. • God. • Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. • Kingdom and righteousness • Matthew 6:33, Romans 1:16-17

  7. If We Seek, We Will Find. • Heaven. • Hebrews 11:14-16 • Glory, honor and immortality • Romans 2:6-7

  8. If We Knock, It Will Be Opened. • Into the sheepfold. • John 10:1, 7-9, cf. Galatians 3:26-27 • Door of faith • Acts 14:27 • Opportunity • 1 Corinthians 16:9, Colossians 4:2-3

We Are Required To Take Action. • Desire, Pursue, Do • Not passive in salvation. • Philippians 2:12 Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling; • Run the race. • Hebrews 12:1-2

  10. God Will Bless Us. • God gives us what we need. • Physically, Matthew 6:19-34 • Spiritually, Matthew 7:7-11, Ephesians 1:3, 2 Peter 1:3 • When we take action, Acts 17:24-28 • He wants us to find Him. • He wants us to live righteously. • Providence provides the way.

We Must Accept What God Gives. • He is all wise. • He loves me. • Galatians 2:20 I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me. • He knows me. • 2 Timothy 2:19 Nevertheless the solid foundation of God stands, having this seal: “The Lord knows those who are His,” and, “Let everyone who names the name of Christ[a] depart from iniquity.”

  12. Are you asking, seeking and knocking? • Believe – John 8:24 • Repent – Luke 13:3 • Confess – Matthew 10:32-33 • Be Baptized – Mark 16:16 • Be Faithful – Revelation 2:10
