  2. GENERAL INFORMATION • EACH TERM IS 12 WEEKS • COURSES ARE 1, 2, OR 3 TERMS • 1 TERM COURSE = 0.5 CREDIT • 2 TERM COURSE = 1.0 CREDIT • 3 TERM COURSE = 1.5 CREDITS

  3. GENERAL INFORMATION • CORE MATH AND SCIENCE COURSES ARE GENERALLY 3 TERMS • CORE ENGLISH AND SOCIAL STUDIES COURSES ARE 2 TERMS (9th grade English/Composition all year) • AP COURSES ARE 3 TERMS • ELECTIVES VARY IN LENGTH

  4. GENERAL INFORMATION • STUDENTS MUST TAKE 5 CLASSES PER TERM • REPORT CARDS ISSUED EVERY 6 WEEKS • SIX WEEK GRADES AVERAGED FOR FINAL GRADES AT 12, 24, 36 WEEKS

  5. GENERAL INFORMATION • PARKWAY: CAREER TECHNICAL CENTER SCHOOL ATTENDANCE BEGINS IN 9th or 10TH GRADE

  6. GENERAL INFORMATION THINK ABOUT THE PROGRESSION OF COURSES: • HONORS COURSES ARE SIGNIFICANTLY MORE DIFFICULT, MORE TIME CONSUMING AND MOVE AT A MUCH FASTER PACE. • AP AND CHS COURSES ARE COLLEGE COURSES WITH A STANDARDIZED PROGRAM AND PACE

  7. GENERAL INFORMATION • SCHEDULE CAREFULLY BECAUSE THE NUMBER OF SECTIONS ARE DETERMINED BY REGISTRATION INFORMATION. SCHEDULE CHANGES CAN BE DIFFICULT TO MAKE ONCE SECTIONS HAVE BEEN DETERMINED.

Graduation RequirementsMinimum of 31 Credits • English 4.5 credits • Speaking and Presenting(10th grade).5 credit • Math 4.5 credits • Science/Technology 4.5 credits • Social Studies 4.0 credits • Physical Education 2.0 credits • Health & Wellness I & II 1.0 credit • Personal Project/IB Project 1.0 credit (10th grade) • Electives 9.0 credits • Foreign Language, Music, Art, Technology Education, • Instructional Technology, Family & Consumer Sciences, • English, Math, Science, Social Studies

  9. GRADUATION INFORMATION • MINIMUM OF 31 CREDITS total • MINIMUM OF 7.5 PER YEAR • 4.5 CREDITS LANGUAGE ARTS (Plus a .5 credit Speaking and Presenting) • 4.0 CREDITS SOCIAL SCIENCES • 4.5 CREDITS MATH • 4.5 CREDITS SCIENCE/TECHNOLOGY

  10. GRADUATION INFORMATION • 2 CREDITS FITNESS (PE) • 1 CREDIT HEALTH/WELLNESS • 1 CREDIT OF PERSONAL PROJECT COMPLETED IN 10TH GRADE • REMAINING 9 CREDITS IN ELECTIVE COURSES
