  1. Frequently Asked Questions… Can my student see their assigned room this summer? Each student’s room is not available to be seen in the summer due to projects and other occupants. Showrooms are available in each hall during orientation. Showrooms will be open daily from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

  2. Frequently Asked Questions… What are the dimensions of my student’s room? The dimensions of a typical room in each hall are found on the Residence Life website at: www.ndsu.edu/reslife/hall_information

  3. Frequently Asked Questions… How will my student know who his/her roommate will be? If one has been assigned, it will be on their assignment notice. Your student can also check for this information on Campus Connection.

  4. Frequently Asked Questions… What can/should my student have in their room? • Computer • Plants • Fan • Small Microwave • Refrigerator (4.0 cubic ft. or less) • Rugs • Television • Surge Protectors (UL Approved)

  5. Frequently Asked Questions… What items are not allowed in the residence halls? • Alcohol and Other Illicit Drugs • Homemade Lofts • Firearms, including Airsoft and Paintball Guns • Halogen Lamps • Candles • Couches, Love Seats, and Futons • Grills (e.g. George Foreman) • Pets, except fish (max. 10 gallon tank) • Anything with an Open Heating Element.

  9. Frequently Asked Questions… When will room assignments be made? Assignments are currently being mailed to students. They may receive their room assignment as early as the next few weeks or as late as the end of the summer, depending on when their application was submitted. Room assignments can also be viewed by the student on Campus Connection.
