3(2 + b) • Distribute the 3 to both numbers inside of the parentheses by multiplying. • 3(2) + 3(b) 6 + 3(b) 6 + 3b
You can use the distributive property with multiple variables: • 4(x + y) • 12(a – 3b) • 2x(x + y)
