  2. TAKE IN THE GOOD • Life is seriousenough as it is • This guide helpsyoutocreate a greatplace in your life for the goodand the beautiful • We wishyoujoy in findingyourpath!

  3. Take in the Good • Yourbrain has a built-in negativity bias • Ourancestorsdodged sticks andchasedcarrots over millions of years of evolution • The sticks had the greaterurgencyand impact on survival

  4. THE NEGATIVE IN THE BRAIN • The brain is like Velcro for negative experiences • It’s like Teflon for positive ones • It’s easier to feel anger, sadness or fear than joy • That’s not fair: • Most of the facts in your life are probably positive or at least neutral Thanks to Rick Hanson

  5. Essence and the Brain • Logosynthesis can help you in living your Essence • It does so by dissolving and neutralising limiting memories, fantasies and beliefs • But it can also increase your energy by integrating the positive – in a new way • Living from Essence brings joy, a purpose, and benefit to oneself and others

  6. Reprogramming Your brain • Your brain is be geared towards noticing and storing negative experiences • even after many positive experiences • Its programme for processing information is based on years of experience and aeons of evolution • Your brain must learn to store and recollect positive experiences instead of washing through you like water through a sieve • Life is as it is • negative AND positive

  7. Reprogramming Your Brain • A new access to the positive enables you to: • put challenges in perspective • lift your energy and spirits • highlight useful resources • fill up your own cup so you have more to offer to others • Logosynthesis offers three simple steps to reach these goals

  8. Look for the good in the present and in your life experience • Explore your reactions to the good facts • Apply the Logosynthesis sentences THREE STEPS 1 2 3

  9. Good facts include all kinds of positive events and positive aspects of the world and yourself • finishing a batch of e-mails • getting a kiss or a compliment • a great session with a client • cooking a good meal or eating it • beautiful weather • Most good facts seem ordinary, unimportant • but they are real • You are recognising something actual and true Step 1.explorE good facts 1

  10. Now explore the good facts coming in, with all your senses… • What do you… • See? • Hear? • Feel? • Smell? • Taste? …that is good or beautiful? Step 2.Explore good facts 1

  11. Now open yourself to the perception of the good • Relax • Breathe deeply Step 2.Explore your reactions to good facts 2

  12. Now adapt the following sentences for the good thing you’re perceiving • Then say the sentences • Let each sentence sink in for about a minute • Breathe quietly or hum a tune after saying each sentence STEP 3.SAY the sentences 3

  13. TAKE IN THE GOOD • I retrieveall myenergyboundup in theperceptionofthis (goodfact) andtakeit back totherightplace in mySelf • I remove all non-meenergy, relatedtotheperceptionofthis (goodfact) from all ofmycells, all ofmybodyandmy personal spaceand send ittowhereittrulybelongs • I retrieve all myenergyboundup in all myreactionstotheperceptionofthis (goodfact) andtakeit back totherightplace in mySelf

  14. Repeat these steps half a dozen times a day • You can do it on the fly in daily life, immediately when something good or beautiful shows up • Then sentence 1 may be enough • You can also do it before going to sleep • Then the brain is especially receptive to new learning Repeatit!
