  • Interjection: An interjection is a word used to show sudden feeling; also a mere cry of pain or joy. Hints- Capital letters and exclamation points suggest the intensity of feeling. However, commas and small letters usually show less emotion.

  • Oh my goodness, I forgot.

  • We went shopping late, but, alas, the stores were closed.
