  13. Indiana GIS Response Corps Committee • A network of GIS volunteers dedicated to assist Emergency Management Practitioners with geospatial maps and real-time information to support their decision making process in the event of an emergency.

  16. Act to Amend IC 4-23-7.3-19 FEE-BASED GIS FUNDING MODEL (g) Through Residential Real Estate Sales Disclosure Form Fees as defined in IC 32-21-5. (h) Through Stormwater Sewer Permitting Fees and Rule 13 Municipal Separate Storm System (MS4)Permitting. • Generate local government funding for GIS maintenance and projects • Help fund statewide initiatives • Provide grant funds to support specific or special GIS initiatives STATUS: Anna & Phil met with Indiana House Representative Robert Behning, and Senator Richard Bray this summer. Representative Behning agreed to ask LSA to look at our proposed legislation. A Legislative Services attorney began the process of drafting legislation in late August.

IGIC Responsibilities • As per Indiana Code 4-23-7.3 (passed in 2007), IGIC is responsible for: • Coordinating with the Indiana Geographic Information Officer • Recommending the state's GIS data standards for adoption • Recommending a statewide data integration plan for adoption • Establishing the Indiana Board on Geographic Names
