  1. Major Projects • Recover from water in dry air system/ MuTr repairs -December ’05 • MPC South - January ’06 • TOF West - February-March ’06 • PHENIX simulated run test - April ’06 • RXNP - May ’06 • HBD - June ’06 • MPC North - July ’06 • Prepare for run 6/7

  2. Water in Dry Air System Water found in all Tygon distribution tubes BBC South BBC North

  3. Water in Dry Air System North South Water flowing from the BBC south was similar to this naturally occurring phenomenum Water also may be in MuTr North and South

  4. TOF W Installation TOF W Installation Fixture and access platform Still waiting for the detectors to arrive

  5. TOF W Fabrication MRPC’s MRPC’s Feedthru boards

  6. TOF W Fabrication ½ box with detectors Gasket signal cables HV bus Gas pipe Holes for installation wheels HV connectors

  7. TOF W Assembly

  8. HBD Gas Monitoring HBD transparency monitor hutch

  9. MPC Status Module Preparation u-shaped brick skins too tight(≈1 mm) imperfect wrappingperfect drawings leave out TYVEK, aluminum? thinner bricks from stainless steel wedges are ok and will be separately fitted to the crystals (UIUC) 192 crystals 4 wedges w/ 29 crystals each (45 lbs) 4 bricks w/19 crystals each (30 lbs)

  10. MPC Production

  11. Other RequiredWork • CM lift table modification • New Helium Bags • Dry air system upgrade ?? • Conceptual design efforts in support of future detector upgrades • Sub System Maintenance (TBD) • Bridge Utilities

  12. HBDInstallation/Access In Fabrication at CS CM scissor lift table Extensions (extends table 22” east & west; Steps up 8”)

  13. Additional Beneficial Work • CM Crane design • Integration support work for Future Detectors (NCC, SVTX, FVTX, RPC) • CM region access stairs • Discretionary improvements to existing equipment • EC: Fix/replace fibers, Noisy FEM’s in DC, PC, DC water flow interlocks, TEC replace p/s and FEM’s, ARCNET on fiber to all racks? • WC: Replace bucketless buckets in AGEL racks, noisy FEM’s in DC, PC • MuTr & MuID: HV repair, troublesome FEM’s, blue logic repairs, MUTR cosmic ray trigger with LL1? • E F & I: Verify installation of transient suppression in all racks, Bucket maintenance, Fan replacement, Communication testing to UVC HV mainframes, tighten connections on distribution panels, fiber repairs

  14. CM Region Crane & Cable Routing Concept Cable Trays to route cables NCC Detector from Bridge Crane Supports use existing flux return notches CM Crane north-south & east-west motions; extended travel east to existing crane coverage

  15. Additional Beneficial Work • DAQ Electronics: Replace/test GL12GTM, STTP’s, blue logic trigger racks? • Computing: Backups: test reliability, weed out unreliable hardware and servers, upgrade network • Gas System • Reinstall all recalibrated mass flow controllers in gas racks • Rearrange regulator and flow meters for N2 on TEC and TOFW PID controllers • Purchase Calibration gas for TEC ethane analyzer • R & R TEC gas manifolds to accommodate work on pre-amp/shaper boards

  16. Conservation & Housekeeping • Energy Conservation • Clean/organize under the tracks • Move extra I-beams & pipe to storage • Electronics lab (new shelves?) • Clean & organize storage areas: • Assembly hall • Shelves near transformers • Trailers • Wire

  17. C-A Tasks • MMS Lampshade removal/replacement • Dry air supply trap/timed drain • Replace emergency fan louvres • Rewire/add IR ceiling lights on emergency power • Replace WC sliding platform hoisting cables • Install access platforms from EC top north and MMS eyebrow • Analyze/balance rack water distribution • Flammable gas hut heating • Mixing house exhaust fan maintenance

  18. SD 06 Schedule Needs more detail
