  2. UB Request Option: what it means • New separate checkbox in the Circulation Matrix. • The ability to place a request is no longer tied to the ability to place a callslip. • The ability to Charge [without Override], during a walk-in scenario still depends on the Charge/Renew checkbox.

UB Request Option: Implications for Upgrade • At Upgrade, any matrix combination that currently has the Charge/Renew checkbox CHECKED, will also have the UB Request option checked. • Libraries that were using the Charge/Renew checkbox to deflect UB requests can now use the UB checkbox to control that. • Recommendation: edit SysAdmin matrix combinations for UB patron groups to accommodate new button.

UB Request Option: Edit the Matrix • For Matrix entries with the Charge/Renew checkbox UNchecked, simply Check it, but leave the UB Request option Unchecked. • This will avoid Overrides on Charge transactions for onsite reciprocal borrowing scenarios, but will still prevent remote requests on those item.
