  2. IPLS WG doc Status • Multipoint L2VPN service for IP • Draft-ietf-l2vpn-ipls-01.txt is WG doc • Authors did not get a chance to work on this document since last meeting • There has been some clarification questions received privately. There has been no discussions on mailing list

  3. Anticipated Updates • Clarification on CE’s IP to MAC address association from link local multicast DA (01-005e-00-00-xx) • Need IANA code point for IP-MAC address TLV for PWE3 Control message • Need IANA code point for ARP TLV (optional feature) • OAM discussions

  4. Future Study Items • Draft mentions following as further study items • Use of control signaling other than LDP based (I.e. BGP, L2TP, etc) • Use of Multi-point transport LSP for multipoint PW • ARP Address TLV • Support for other IP traffic (IPV6, IS-IS, etc) • Handling of Partial mesh failure. This is addressed by rosen draft for VPLS and IPLS

  5. Conclusion • We believe that all items for future study should be addressed in separate drafts • Recommend progressing the base draft to final call before the next meeting. • Request WG chairs on guidance for next steps
