  3. (I) Keep it short • Email clients can only display a limited number of characters for the subject in mailbox display. While this depends on the user's settings • you can safely assume that about 40 to 60 characters should be displayed.

  4. (II) Place the most important words Only It's important to put the most important information at the beginningin subject line instead of greeting the Recipient

  5. (III) Be specific about the topic of the email Subject line should explain exactly, what the particular email is about so that the recipient knows the importance of email without opening it

  6. (IV) Don’t write subject lines ALL IN CAPS Using all caps may get someone's attention, but in the wrong way. It's the digital equivalent of yelling!

  7. (V) Don’t give a false promises Do not try to get your email opened by making false promises. This will irk your audience and probably get you on the dreaded unsubscribe list
