  17. 2.) Allergies • when the immune system causes an overreaction to an antigen • Results: increase production of histamines, which causes discomfort. • Histamines increase blood flow and fluids to surrounding areas causing sneezing, runny nose and other irritations. • Treatment - Antihistamines
