    1. The Bah Humbug Holiday Math Quiz

    2. There are approximately 378 million Christian Children in the world. At an average rate of 3.5 children per household, how many houses will Santa visit this Christmas? Santa has 31 hours to do his work (due to different time zones and the rotation of the earth). How much time does Santa have for each visit? Santa has an average of about 0.78 miles between houses. How many miles long is his trip? How fast is Santa moving, in miles per hour? If each child gets a toy that weighs, on average, 2 pounds, how many tons of toys will Santa have to load on the sleigh? (one ton = 2,000 pounds) A normal reindeer can pull about 300 pounds. Assuming that each of Santa’s flying reindeer can pull ten times that much, how many reindeer will it take to pull the sleigh?
